Robert Palmer: Bad Case of Loving You
Welcome back to the Off the Charts Amphitheater. On stage is Robert Palmer. Palmer gave us solo hits like Every Kind of People, Simply Irresistible, plus Some Like it Hot with a band called the Power Station. That band included Palmer as well as members of Duran Duran. The song featured here, Bad Case Of Loving You, debuted in 1979. It charted modestly well but it's a great song that did get lots of airplay on alternative radio stations.
The song was penned by Oklahoma native native Moon Martin who can be seen here live in 1981. As opposed to Palmer, who was seen as a sex symbol, Martin is a skinny guy with Tom Petty's hair and Cub Coda's glasses but the guy can and does rock. Please enjoy both of these stellar versions of this awesome party song!!!
